Valentine's day... covered

Since my wife never checks the forum, it's safe to post her gift:

The little doggie (who's actually about a foot tall) in the corner holds the gift box that the jewelry sits in. It's also programmable to hold a 6 second voice message (which gets played when you press his ear).

I'm thinking "Your husband deserves a blow-job" is applicable.

My wife is by no means a "foo-foo" girl either. She's the queen of practical.

Our first 12 years together consisted of bare sustenance living (wheee, poverty is fun!). Fluffy things like this were completely out of the question. If given the choice, I'm sure she would have spent the money on something for the house.

But I am sure she will enjoy them (probobly even more so if she knew that the whole set was on one hell of a sale... and I got them for $99 plus tax).

Oh, no, I'm definitely a "foo-foo" girl, at least much more than I am practical. Somehow jewelry just isn't something people buy me, unless they see some funky bit of vintage they think I'd like. Romatically natured gifts for me just tend to be less "traditional", if you catch my drift.

You wouldn't believe how many times I've been walking by a jewelry store and seen something like a solitare necklace or small set of earings, or even a tennis bracelet. I think to myself, "that'd make a good gift." Then I think, "nah, Mox wouldn't like that jewelery stuff she'd rather have CDs."

Not that I'd have a problem getting jewelry. I do like a lot of it. Jc knows I like very minimilistic stuff, and I prefer stuff I can wear everyday since I don't get super dressy very often. (He also knows my ears aren't even pierced, so what would I do with earrings? lol)I dunno, I guess I'm just more of a chunky silver ring person than I am a solitaire necklace. Of course, I'd rather have a new big-ass pair of boots! hehe

I could live out of the same pair of cargoes and shirt every day of my life (provided they were mutant, self-cleaning-while-I-wear-them clothes). I just want to th CD's.

If a guy spends just under $10,000 for his wife on jewelery for their 10th anniversary and she spends just over $10 for him who is the winner and who is the loser?

That depends on a number of variables... did the $10,000 spent truly reflect the love that was felt, or was the $10 spent more thoughtfully?

Also... did the guy get some? (that's worth something right there).

And if this "guy" was you... this might make you feel better... I gave jewelery (while not on the $10,000 level... it was still very well recieved)... I got a 6 pack of Guinness and some snack crackers.

Yes, at that TIME the $10,000 was a true reflection of his love in addition to being a 10th year anniversay gift. Now she on the other hand only bought the shirt on sale because she felt obligated since it was their 10th anniversay to get him something. Not only did the guy not get some, but has not given any for the three years follow that time. Oh, and yes it was me.
