According to this article, M$ is going to spend more than $1 Billion in repairs to faulty hardware on the Xbox 360.

Ouch!

That's a lot of money! I'm glad my Wii works :-)

That's disappointing news, and will just prolong the ps3 battle, which I see as players in the bigger hi-def DVD issue (for me, anyway). Sure, I'd like to get my 1080 Tiger Woods on, but not yet.

You have to hand it to them for extending the warranty so much. Granted, not for a good reason, but they still did it.

It was the right thing to do - so we did it. :)

I have to say, this really impressed me. Its not often a company takes responsibility for its products like this. Especially MS. It would seem our girl Jam has begun to turn the company around single-handedly. And what do the threatened powers-that-be do in response? Ship her off to Texas.

I've had my 360 for several months now, and no issues so far. (knock on wood)

One of the things that I constantly chuckle about is the fact that my console came directly out a customers house (he had complained to no end that it was failing constantly). I drove to Yakima to replace it and have been using it for over a year now without a single issue.

Manufactured October 26th, 2005 and used for many hours at a time in a small apartment with three cats, a kid and a person who only cleans when someone is coming over....

Clearly ALL the consoles are crap ;)

Next thing you know, they'll want a new mouse!
