Not sure how many of you are following this, but its a lot of fun. I sorta lost interest in the band a while back but this is more compelling than the records have been for a while. I even like the music more than I had in the past.

Anyway, for those of you who don't care for them, this at least is very interesting. Isn't this organization dead yet? With Apple starting to sell DRM-less files, isn't their cause more or less pointless?

For those of you looking for a primer regarding the project, look here and then start looking back through the past couple of months of stuff here. There is some seriously cool shit happening with this.

Funny, you beat me to it. I read the article, then came here to post it. Has to be one of the most brilliant marketing strategies I've heard, and including fans in the whole thing. Like peta, the more they do stuff exactly like this, the more they push their credibility in to the crapper.

Wow, finding creative ways to get fans involved, and more interested in a band's music? Better stop it! Emmer Effers.

I've been so-so on the band for awhile too, but it still ranks as one of the best shows I've ever seen (with A Perfect Circle). Trent lost me when he started doing the Spanish conquistador-mustache + Perfect Drug era.

New album isn't bad at all. Pretty good actually.

The ultimate resource. The story is still active and continuing to get richer. Expect even more going on with the album being released tomorrow.

Those of you who haven't heard the album should definitely pick it up. This is one that I will actually go purchase with my hard earned dollars.

"Zero Sum" is one of my favorite NIN songs ever. Without a doubt this is the best record he's ever made. Not as poppy as the others, but yet more engaging. And definitely not as self-pitying, which is why he was losing me to begin with. Shit, "Survivalism" is, to the best of my knowledge, the first empowered NIN song ever. Its pretty refreshing.
