I confirm this.
We made a decision to do this mostly to keep me sane.
Really, that was part of the reason why.
I'll be honest - even though there are some pretty screwed up scenarios; overall the repair rate is really within industry standards.
I have two consoles both with 05 date codes - i haven't had a single problem.
Just my plug.
