Darn those clever kids!

A while back, someone (hell, it could have been me) posted a link to a story bout how a shopkeeper installed buzzers in and in front of his shop that created a tone at 17kHz to keep the teenagers away.

It worked.

Younger years can hear it, but that ability apparently fades away when you hit your 20's or so.

Well, now those wacky kids are turning the tables. Read this article to find out how to make a ring tone for your cell phone that you can hear, but most adults cant.

That's clever!

I can hear it. It drives me apeshit.

I can also hear when Zeb leaves the television on, after turning off the gamecube.

In the olden days, we used to have White Noise as nature's reminder to turn the TV off.

Televisions now make some kind of 50hz noise that no matter where I am in the house, I can hear. Like I'm under some kind of PSYCHIC ATTACK.

Other noises bother me as well, and I'm kind of prone to PSYCHIC ATTACK by noise. (Perhaps PSIONIC attack is a better term.)

50 hz would be a very low frequency rumble. I suspect that its a high pitched noise you refer to.

That High pitched noise is the Horizontal frequency of 15734 Hz...

Oh the difference that a k makes.

The noise I'm refering to is similar to noise you'll hear when something isn't grounded correctly. (I'm wanting to say that it's a 20kHz noise... but it's definatly not that pitch.)

* Edit A/C Produces a 60hz hum.

For those who don't know... that's the sound that a disgraced ninja makes when he's been forced out of his dojo by his Sensei and sent to wander the world of technical support in penatence.

It's a fact.

Terry the ninja. Sounds like a MadTV sketch. Because it could be funny, but goes out of its way not to be.
