Surfing the forum using lynx is... um... fun?

My ISP is having issues tonight.

On all my windows machines, there is no internet (unless, of course, you happen to know the IP address of the server you want to hit).

One would immediately say to themselves that the DNS servers are down, but I am able to surf from my linux box using lynx just fine (by name, not by IP).

WTF causes that?

Anyway... the forum is wheeee, fun! to use in lynx (I'm actually suprised that it works at all... good programmer!)

does everything display properly or is it somewhat messed up?
I'd like to get a machine together with an alternate OS just for shits and giggles. May have to do that this winter.

It's a text base program (as I have no GUI in my linux machine).

If you're interested, it looks like this:

On a side note, I figured out why I'm able to get on on my linux machine. Apparently when I set it up, I put in the DNS for my ISP as well as the DNS from work.

That tells me that their DNS is totally down (for the second time this week).

That brings back FOND memories of the text-only browsers in the library that I'd go use to print out the Anarchist Cookbook with.

God I was a shit when I was younger.

Heh... that was probobly lynx as well.

It's been out for a while, and was used by libraries and such on their VAX systems before Mozilla came out.
