Seattle bound?

To keep the balance of good and evil in check, it appears that I may be heading west sometime mid next year.

Ironpants came here, I must go there.

Actually.... my wife has gone as far as her career will take her on this side of the state and must go to the other side if she ever wants to advance.

So... come June-ish of next year, We'll be looking to box everything up, sell my house, buy a place over there (It'll will cost 3x as much and be half the size... if I'm lucky), and drive over the mountains.

I'm already starting to look at employment opportunities over there. Google is damn tempting... so is Adobe. Hell... I'll even take Microsoft (if I can't find anything else). I guess it all depends on what's open at the time that fits my abilities.

Of course, this isn't set in stone.

And before you say "blog that, dumbass", I can't. Too many people from work read my blog (those who read the forums seem to have the ability to not tell my boss what they saw).

and I'm guessing that something at work pushed you over the edge too.

Well, if you go I KNOW you'll do really well. How can they not roll out the red carpet for our Biobutt?

:D

Hehe, I like how you almost let the cat out of the bag in staff this morning when you said you were looking at houses in Seattle. Oops.

Hey, I know that picture that Damaged One is using for his avatar!

United nuclear has some cool stuff!

BTW, the owner of the business was arrested recently...it seems that when you sell the compounds to make a report (the booms you hear at a fireworks display) you get a free trip to jail! Even though the compounds are not regulated in any way, an you have no way of know they will be used for illegal purposes...

...and there's always room on the dark side for one more. Let me know when you get closer to making a decision.

I'll do that.

But first, I have my own little plan rolling along here. I'll know more in a couple weeks.

No... but then again, it's not next year yet either :-)

It's just an idea we're kicking around. It doesn't mean for sure either way... we're just entertaining it.

On the flip side, I found a place I can afford on lake Union. It's a floating house. Unfortunately, while I can afford the mortgage, I can't afford the moorage on top of it.

*sigh*

And I just watched Sleepless in Seattle too.... I want a floating house!

Screw that noise, modern building and plumbing seems to have enough trouble coping with water that falls from the sky and runs through the house. Replacing Terra Firma with water seems to be tempting fate.

My wife is maxed out at her work. She can't make any more money unless she relocates to Seattle (that's where her company is based out of).

So... we'd have to move there if she wants to advance.

I'd probobly be able to find a job there pretty easily (there's a lot of tech work over there, and I've already found my dream company).

O.T.: Nice Duck Hunt 'tar!
