Personally, I like that this is discussed as though its possible. Travel to Europe would be cheaper as a result, and I've always been sweet on Australia to begin with. I think the clear decision here is to get Australia as drunk as possible and see if we can make this happen.

Americans are just going to have to adopt an Australian and get them drunk. So lets all work together and get Eve loaded.

uhhh... You wouldn't have to work too hard

I reckon a ferry-ride across to the 'states would be just cool.

Seriously though, the ole U.S. of A. is about the only place in the world (apart from Antarctica and Canada) that I would like to visit. Oddly enough though, the only 2 man-made thingy's that I am interested in seeing are the Smithsonian and a space shuttle take-off lol

What I am reallly interested in is seeing stuff like the Grand Canyon and Alaska!

Can we touch them after we get them loaded?

I've walked past the Smithsonian (well, part of it...it's friggin HUGE) once. I was on a business trip and we didn't have much free time. I did, however, get a chance to hit the Lincoln memorial. Damn, Abe.... you're BIG!

The grand canyon is... um.. big and deep and quite dusty. Sure, it's pretty and stuffs, but I don't know if I'd ever go back.

As for Alaska, think "outback", but with grass and mosquitos as big as birds (lots and LOTS of them). The costal area isnt' too bad though.

Well that's exactly what I wanted to see. I believe they have cruises around the coast. That sounds the go.

(Plus, aren't there heaps of unattached Alaskan men? hehe)

:D

Hell... just come to Washington state then. It looks exactly like the Alaska coast, but it's A) not so damn remote, B) Warmer, C) within driving distance from Casa de WWBD.

From what I understand, a lot of Alaska's "single" men are there to hide from something (the law, child support, etc.). Good luck with that! :-)

Which reminds me of a joke.

Thomas, a young executive, had finally had enough of the rat race. He sold all of his belongings and moved to some of the remotest parts of Alaska.

The summer had started off well, but he began to rethink things once the winter gloom had settled in. It was nearing Christmas, and he hadn't seen another human being nor the sun in several weeks.

It was as he started packing, that there came a knock on his door. Delighted, he ran to the door and flung it open to discover his neighbor had come to visit from his home, several miles away.

"I had heard ya moved in, but never gots the chance to meet yas. Why, I thought I would come invite yas to a little bit of a Christmas party back at my place."

"Oh, that would be wonderful! I've love to. I've been incredibly lonely out here."

"Oh yea, that'll happen up here from time ta time... I know how it can be. But look, I want you to know that there might be some drinkin' going on back at my place... are you ok with that?"

"I haven't had a drink since I left California, I'd be more than OK with it, I'd love it!"

"Good... good... well, you mighta heard we're kind of a rowdy bunch up here, so you should also know that there might be a bit of fightin' too."

"Oh... ok... I'd still like to come!"

"Good... good... And uh... there's gonna be a bit of lovin' there too."

With this, Thomas' emotions swelled to bursting. While it had been forever since he had seen another person, it had been even longer since he ... well... you know.

"Should I bring anything over?"

"Oh... no, no... I have just about anything the two of us'd want."
