I hate to pre-order.

Every time I've done a pre-order on something in the past, I get screwed. They inevitably don't give me the extra "promo" crap you're supposed to get for putting money down on something that's not due out for a month... and it's often cheaper to actually just buy it on the day of release.

Battlefield2 - Special Forces is supposed to be out today.

I've been to Circuit City (they were in, but not out of the box yet... the clerk was too busy to get to that until later), BestBuy (not in... delivery truck stuck in the mountain pass), and Staples (they don't get new releases).

I didn't bother going to the Electronic Boutique... they're smacktards.

I'm hoping that CompUSA has it when I get off work.... but I'm not holding my breath on that.

This is the first time that I've gotten screwed on release day by NOT pre-ording.

Bastards... all of 'em!
