In Memoriam...

Post by bugfreezer » Mon Oct 03, 2005 8:05 am

Found out Saturday that I lost a good friend on Thursday...

See link on NWCN.

I'd known Steve Smith (the pilot) the better part of 20 years and even got to fly with him on a refuel run. Had a great family he left behind. He will be missed.
Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

I saw that on the news this weekend. It's tragic when those who save lives become victims. At least they were doing what they loved when it happened.

Back in 1996, Spokane lost a crew when one of Sacred Heart's "Heart Flight" air ambulances went down.
