They found Shasta Groene, alive and well, in Coeur de Alene, Idaho.
The bad news... they found what they assume to be her brother's remains in Montana.
Her family is dead, and she's been in the custody of a convicted child molester since May 16th. I pray she's strong... because if not, there's no amount of therapy in the world that will help this poor girl.
First... the good news...

There is so much that can be said...but I will stick to the good news bit. As a father of small kids myself I was so very glad that she got out alive.
So few do.
It's scary being a parent these days. I always enjoyed watching wildlife shows, and inevitably there is always the episode, usually set in Africa, where some herd animal or another are giving birth. They always make a point of demonstrating how there are tons of predators looking for an easy meal.
Seems like that is how it is for our kids now. There always seems to be at least one news item per day concerning some missing kid. It is hard not to be paranoid about your own kids when faced with that.
Ugh.

Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.
