He called me

Ok...my dad just got out of prison on May 31st. He called me on Saturday because he was at my grandpa's and able to use his phone. He is planning on coming over to see us sometime. This ought to be interesting. He was in industrial park trying to find a trailor that his buddy had, but it was sold. So now it is the van and my grandpa's on weekends. Childsupport took all of his money. He wants to meet my boyfriend and Blownkisses, because I talked about them a lot in the letters. All in all I am really happy because I haven't seen him in 5 years...and who knows....maybe he changed. I am really excited though...

That is so exciting. I am so happy for you. I can't wait to meet him. If he is anything like you I know he is going to be a way cool person. Just waiting to see what he does about your boyfriend. Mauahahahaha . Fatherly figures can be fun. Love ya lots Painted and and so happy for you.

Isn't that the truth. My boyfriend meet my dad awhile ago. WOW, he was the first boyfriend to actually meet my dad and live. No just kidding, but my dad is that intimidating type. He always tell Keith..."Touch her you die."

My dad has not earned the place of trying to scare away my boyfriend. Frankly...not to be, obnoxious or anything, I don't think any parent has the right to try and scare their childs boyfriend/girlfriend. My friend and I were talking about how her b/f's parents told him that if he wears the promise ring she got him he will have to stop seeing her and go to a different school. And I don't doubt that they are serious. I am so excited though. To reconcile with my father...my biggest question is, "Has he called his mother?"

I am hoping so...the last time I saw him, it was between trips to the bathroom to I could vomit...or do other things when you stomach is not feeling well.

I totally agree with you on the parents not telling there kids what to do about their boyfriend/girlfriend painted. And have best of wishes for you and your dad too. You disearve it. You are also right about your dad not having the right to tell your boyfriend off. Your so brilliant and I admire your strength through this hardship.

Thanks. The thing is...he never raised me. It was always my mom. Sure he was there, but he never took care of us. It was my mom's job. He wouldn't even let her see her friends...he would get angry...very controlling. I am hoping things have all changed for the better. He sounds sincere...and since he called I think he is...cause he didn't the last two times.

Yeah...its weird, I wish I could say that I understand. I hate when I can't because I feel horrible the fact that I can't help you when you are down. I never had to deal with my parents like that. But look at you...so many messed up kids that ruin their life blame it on the childhood and how there dad left them or wasn't there...or maybe he was but beat them. But you, you took it and made it your strength. I am so proud of you. You have your head on straight. No drugs, a job, a wonderful boyfriend who most of the time treats you like a princess, and three pain in the ass brothers. Your responsible and most of all organized. I would look up to you but...well your a little short in stature. Muahahahaha. Love you Painted dont ever change

I don't plan on it. I like who I am...whether he is in my life or not. Though since this weekend I am working late hours...I will probably miss his call if he calls.
