I am the law!

Today was the first day of my two week sojourn called "Jury Duty".

Oh friggin' joy!

I sat in a room with the unwashed masses (and I'm not making an generalization here... these people need soap!) from 7:30 am until about 3:30 pm.

I'm not on a jury yet.

I have to go back at 9am tomorrow and do it again.

Oh... on a side note, I probobly won't be on the forum or my site for a bit if I get selected. Something about "talk to the media or other people and we'll send you to federal "pound me in the ass" prision".

You think the jury smell.

I have to sit in the back of the police fleet with the folk that your going to adjudicate on. Now these mo fo's stink.

One learns to clench their nostrils and breath throught their teeth pretty quickly.

I'm sure of that :-)

Funny story: I was walking down the hallway when two rather buff officers came walking through with two defendants on their way to trial. They must have been held in the lock-up because they were wearing blue jumpsuits, orange slip on shoes, and were chained and shackled.

I moved tward the side of the hallway to let them pass but one of the officers said "You're fine, sir" and then turned to the two men who were far less fortunate than I and said "Grab the wall!".

They did.

And this, boys and girls, is why I've never been in trouble with the law (I haven't had so much as a speeding ticket in over a decade). Orange shoes DO NOT go with blue jumpsuits.
