Also... Please, Please and may I stress it one more time, Please have insurance. It is the most important responsibility in owning a car. If you don't have it and get into a bad accident it could wreck your life for many years to come. It sucks having to pay for it but it is better that the alternitive.

I want to have insurance. I am only going for liability right now though because I don't make enough.

It can be real tuff at first. I have had the same insurance agent since I was 16 (18 years). I bet I have paid for a few of his new cars by now.

I only needed him once, late at night. Didn't know what to do after a accident. He was there for me and walked me through all of it. I guess he was worth the monthy payment that month.

Actually... it's against the
law to not have it.
If you drive without it, and get pulled over for any reason, there's a fine.
How much is the fine if I receive a ticket for driving without insurance?
A violation is a traffic infraction punishable by a $250 fine for each offense (RCW 46.63.110). However, there are other fees and assessments that will be added to the fine, such as the public safety and education assessment which is 70% of all fines (RCW 3.62.090).
If you get into an accident and don't have insurance, expect to be sued. If sued, expect to lose. If you lose, expect to have your wages garnished for the rest of your life.
Get insurance... it's cheaper in the long run.

I never planned on not having it. I like to abide by the law...for the most part.
