Pesonally, I'm all for ditching it altogether. After all, only 90% of the Unites States uses it anyway, and -only- the United States (as I recall)

If we're gonna dump it, let's take it one step further - get rid of the way we currently do time.
Instead, let's all live on UTC (or GMT). That way, when it's 08:00 here, it's 08:00 everywhere else too.
Of course, this would cause some havoc with dates, but we can figure that out.
Though, it'll seem odd eating lunch at 19:00.

Ummm...the math is wrong...when its 0800 GMT, it'll be midnight here - Breakfast!. Unless, you want to make the USA the new GMT (We think we are the center of the universe anyway).
And we are not the only ones who shift our clocks - the brits use
British Summer Time.

England follows DST as well.
They have "BST".
Also, shame shame on the people who made your equipment, Bio. I have to log in at night twice a year, and set the cell network time to and from DST.
On the switch, I can actually give it a range of dates to automagically adjust the time.
The BSC though, requires someone to tell it when to change.

My bad... I added when I should have subtracted.
