Today's my first day back at work since the surgery.

I am sooooo beat, my back is sore, and after looking at the calendar, I'm pissed off.

Apparently they scheduled me for the graveyard shift tonight.

People are out of town and we're a little short staffed, but bejesus! As my wife put it: I'm supposed to be healing, not working myself into the ground.

I'll be talking to my boss as soon as she gets out of her meeting to see if there's any way we can find someone else to do it.

didnt you recently hire to fill the graveyard position ?

they got approval to hire someone... then they thought of the skills they want when the interview. I'm pretty sure that's as far as its gone.

My boss came out of one meeting and ran straight into another. I'm gonna get stuck with this, and I'm gonna be pissed.

Just to let you know... I did finally get a hold of my boss.

Sure, I'm on the schedule, but someone else will be working that shift until I'm feeling that I'm up to it again. This is more than fair and I'm all happy and stuffs again.

Now we just gotta fill that req and hire someone.
