Well I finally have the date set for me getting my wisdom teeth out. It will be on the 25th of this month. I don't want to. I want to get in a corner and hide. It's not the pain afterwards, it's the needles before. And it doesn't help that I see them. They have an arm strap on the chair, just for me. Hehe..jk. They actually asked me if I wanted to be awake or asleep during the process...ummm...yeah. I am a giant masochist, bring on the pain. Hehe. Jk. The only problem is that they have a high risk for connecting my sinuses to my mouth when the removed the wisdom teeth. Grrr...that means more pain and antibiotics.

I'm sure it will all be good :-)

I had mine out when I was 20. It wasn't too horrible.

I had mine out when I was about 28 or 30, I forget now.

The first one out was done by my dentist, because it got infected. Needles, pain, crunching, pressure, more pain.

me no likey.

The remaining three were done by an oral surgeon. They knocked me out with Nitros and a Valium cocktail via an IV. I went to sleep, and immediatly woke up. The difference having the last three wisdom teeth gone!

Oh what a pleasure that was. Thereafter, it was just a matter of keeping my mouth clean and watching what I ate for a couple weeks.

DO NOT under any circumstances, have your wisdom teeth pulled by a dentist, NO MATTER how much you love them. ONLY have an oral surgeon do it.

Just my two cents.

I was smart.

I had them all removed before I got out of the USAF. They KO'd me with the abovementioned drugs, stitched up the holes and I was (carefully) eating seafood 3 days after.

Hope you get a good doc.

I had 2 done by the dentist, no sweat (well relatively speaking).
The 3rd one was done by the surgeon last October. A little needle stick, a quick nap and then pour me into the car for the ride home. The worst part was finding something I could eat for the next few days that wouldn't open the stitches. But it healed up nicely. The last one I'm gonna have the dentist pull pretty soon. I've had good luck with that so far. The only reason the last one was the surgeon was because it was impacted. Good luck, it'll be over before you know it.

Well it doesn't sound too bad. But I know I will be sweating before I even see the oral surgeon. I will just keep my eyes shut when they bring out the needles or I am liable to hit somebody really hard. I can just picture myself running around the doctors office and having them chase me because I don't like needs. LOL. The bad thing is I can't have popcorn for a month afterwards....I LOVE POPCORN.....mmmmm. I just don't want to feel any pressure while doing this. Today I found out that the day I go in for surgery I get my academic letter. Yeah! LOL. I already have my music letter.
