I have one of these. Click on the tech support link, then Eco-Drive information.

Very geeky, when I took the watch out of the box on christmas, the second, minute, and hour hands took off and went to the current time. Then the date rolled forward two days...it was damn cool, and a bit disconcerting...

Hmm, which one do you have? I bought one a couple years ago. The Eco-drive only powers it so you don't need a battery. There must be something else that set the date and time for you.

The movement number is E-760. Its a perpetual calendar model.

It was gift so I don't know what the proper model name is.

The thing is just damn cool. It will keep an accurate time for up to 5 years without seeing the light of day.

The date stays accurate, you never have to twist if forward that one day on the short months...it is even aware of leap years.

In thinking about it it HAS to have a Real Time Clock in it....the "movement" is just a series of motors that are controlled by the RTC. Of course, RTC's don't control anything, so its got to have some type of controller in it, even if it is just a PIC.

Smartest watch I have ever had.

And it looks good too!
