Poor Family. As a dog lover this story just breaks my heart. Its a shame.

Yes, very sad.

They definitely did the right thing though, as hearbreaking as it must have been for them. :cry:

As a dog owner, I hope to never be put in that situation.

But if I ever am, I would do exactly the same thing. I wouldn't be happy about it, my dogs are part of my family, but you have to be responsible and put emotion aside in those situations.
