Honor The Man

Post by ZIPPER » Wed Feb 02, 2005 9:30 pm

Sunday would have been the 60th Birthday of Bob Marley. Ethiopia will host a month long celebration to honor him.

Bob Marley was one of the greatest songwriter/minds of the 20th Century.

Lets honor him on the BRHF by posting your favorite Marley song

Mine would have to be IS THIS LOVE.
The song feels so heart-felt and honest and pure with love.

Remember to go out of your way to be nice to someone on Sunday

I heard about that.

Ethopia has a zero tolerancy on marajuana. They catch you with any amount and it's an instant 25 years.

Probobly not the best place for Bob Marley fans to gather.

I heard that too. I also know that a Ethiopian king gave land to the Rastafari belivers to live on. I would think since their religion is to use herb all day through they have a legal right.

Thanks Miftah, I kinda always thought Ethopia was over run with the Rastafari. They seem to be looked on like the commuional cultures here in the states.

Dosen't matter though, the legacy of Marley's way of looking at the human race is what will always be important.

BTW You forgot to post a song title

Well I was quite the pot-head when I was in my late teens/early 20's. My favourite Bob Marley album was Kaya, and favourite song was Sun is shining.

Favorite Bob Marley song: Ops, I did it again.

It's a little known fact that Bob Marley wrote and perfomed this song many years prior to that hack, Britney Spears, doing a cover for it.
