WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM FRIDAY EVENING TO 10 PM SATURDAY EVENING
UNTIL 4:30AM PST


Urgent - Winter Weather Message National Weather Service Spokane WA 253 PM PST Thu Dec 2 2004

.A Strong Winter Storm System Will Move Into The Inland Northwest Friday Night And Slowly Move Through The Region On Saturday. The Storm System Will Bring Abundant Moisture To The Region. A Dome Of Cold Air Is Currently In Place Across A Large Portion Of Eastern Washington And The Idaho Panhandle. The Combination Of These Weather Parameters Will Set The Stage For Winter Weather Conditions.

1230- Northern Panhandle-Coeur D'alene Area-Idaho Palouse- Central Panhandle Mountains-Washington Palouse-Spokane Area- Northeast Mountains- Including The Cities Of... Cheney... Davenport... Colville... Deer Park... Newport... Metaline Falls... Harrison... Rathdrum... Kellogg... Wallace... St Maries... Moscow... Potlatch... Plummer... Pullman... Colfax... Rosalia... Sandpoint... Bonners Ferry... Clark Fork 253 PM PST Thu Dec 2 2004

... Winter Storm Watch Is In Effect From 6 PM Friday Evening To 10 PM Saturday Evening...

The National Weather Service In Spokane Washington Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch From Friday Night Through Saturday Evening. Light Precipitation Will Develop Friday Afternoon In The Northeast Mountains Of Washington And The North Idaho Panahndle. The Precipitation Will Increase In Intensity And Spread South Through The Region. It Should Begin Briefly As Rain Before Switching Over To Snow... And Staying As Snow Through The Duration Of The Event. Snow Accumulations Of 6 To 12 Inches Of Snow Are Possible By Saturday Evening. This Includes The Area North And East Of A Line From Pullman... To Ritzville To Republic.

it snowed big time last night. didn't notice until i tried backing out of the garage, i got about 20 inches at my house :cry:

The storm has been downgraded to the point where we'll be lucky to get an inch of rain/snow mix today.

Tow truck drivers and body shop owners are deeply saddened.

Living on the west plains I can tell you. . .

It looks like I have -less- snow this morning, than I had last night.

So much for my plans of building a full size B-52 out of snow today.
