.A Strong Winter Storm System Will Move Into The Inland Northwest Friday Night And Slowly Move Through The Region On Saturday. The Storm System Will Bring Abundant Moisture To The Region. A Dome Of Cold Air Is Currently In Place Across A Large Portion Of Eastern Washington And The Idaho Panhandle. The Combination Of These Weather Parameters Will Set The Stage For Winter Weather Conditions.

The National Weather Service In Spokane Washington Has Issued A Winter Storm Watch From Friday Night Through Saturday Evening. Light Precipitation Will Develop Friday Afternoon In The Northeast Mountains Of Washington And The North Idaho Panahndle. The Precipitation Will Increase In Intensity And Spread South Through The Region. It Should Begin Briefly As Rain Before Switching Over To Snow... And Staying As Snow Through The Duration Of The Event. Snow Accumulations Of 6 To 12 Inches Of Snow Are Possible By Saturday Evening. This Includes The Area North And East Of A Line From Pullman... To Ritzville To Republic.
