If I recall, in some states (in the US that is), it is legal to get married at an age as little as 14.
16 year old prostitute? Shame on -her-, and maybe her parents too.

16 is the age of concent here in Washington state.
Why you'd want to be with a sixteen year old girl is beyond me. Ever tried talking to one? After doing that... having sex with one makes you feel like a pedophile.

Prostitution is the form of empowerment that gives women dominance by making it appear they are subservient. I hate that it occurs, but I think's insanely patriarchal that it is illegal. As for pedophelia being a component of it, well pedophila is wrong whether in the context of prostitution or not. Considering we live in a world where 8 year old sex slaves are a contemporary reality though, this sorta pales in comparison.
