wow, that's pretty cool looking (no not the Doom guy). Wonder why it's going to take them until 2011 to make it usable. Seems odd to me. If they have the prototype, does it really take 8 more years to produce it? maybe that's just a mock up of the final product.

right, I'm just having a hard time believing it'll take that long to lighten it up and incorporate all the stuff they want.
now if they can just install some sort of air conditioning for desert combat.

What the government tells the public and what is the
truth is NEVER the same thing. Before separating from the military I worked in the same state as the infamous Area 51 and that is only a tiny secret compared to the rest of the fecal matter that Department of Defense perpetuates on a daily basis.

so true, me and my buddy were both military and we were just talking about the vehicle mounted lasers and other shit that's been in developent for over thirty years. then again, what's ready for use and what's PRACTICAL for use are two different things. but why tell people about something when you don't have to. winning the modern tech war is about keeping secrets.

and i thought winning the modern tech war was about dropping as many bombs as indiscriminately as possible over as wide an area as you can from a stupid height so you dont get shot at????
