I just got back from seeing my neurosurgeon. I was hoping that he'd release me today back to my physiologist, who would then in turn, release me back to my general practitioner.

No such luck.

I have to go back in 6 weeks. There's a problem with a couple of the screws. If it doesn't clear up by the next visit, he's gonna inject cortisone around them. If that makes things better, then I have to go under the knife one more time to have the screws on my right side removed.

At least that's a one day thing... come in the morning, go home in the afternoon.

Wheeeee, fun!

How much did you have to pay your neurosurgeon to tell you that you have a couple of screws loose? Any of us could have told you that for free.

Oh... and apparently the hardware in my back is NOT airport friendly. I will set off the metal detector each and every time I have to go through the security checkpoint.

So... they're sending me a card stating the type of hardware I have, where I have it, and who installed it.

As a smoker, I'm always going outside between flights for a quick one... the security took long enough before, now I'm gonna get strip searched.

Maybe that's not a bad thing!

Heh... just got a letter from my neurosurgeon's office. It's my card, for presenting to the airport security mook. It states that I have metal in my back, and yes.. I will set off the metal detector, so please put the rubber gloves and the mag light away.

Of course, you don't wanna be stuck behind my fat ass in line at the security checkpoint. I'm gonna hold things up a bit.

After flying out of Israel, I will never, ever complain about US airport security again. Jeebus.

Heh.. I've heard about what you have to go through there.

Did they at least say "I love you" first?
