Yep, I've seen them. Have the shows (there are 3) on Tape. If you are in the Spokane area, there is a
Spokane Area Rocketry Club launch tomorrow(9/12/04). Check the link for a map. Call 634-6258 prior to leaving to see if the launch has been scrubbed due to weather.
I have some pretty big rockets myself...
You can see one of them
here. I'm the tall one on the left in the photo.
Yep, I love rockets.

Great Launch, y'all missed a good one...I'd give you details on the thing, but you pby aren't interested.
BTW, the photo below is from a full scale Honest John missile that was flown at the Black Rock desert in Nevada. Notice that the rocket isn't looking so well. One of the motors CATO'd and destroyed the 675 pound rocket. *THIS* is a big rocket!
The two black smoke trails about midway up the rocket are "spin motors" to impart a spin on the whole rocket, for stability. These motors are larger than I typically launch...
The picture was taken from a long ways away...that rocket is 24" in diameter, around 26 feet long and from tip to tip on the fins is around 9 feet.
BTW, its not flying sideways, the camera is rotated...
