Woot! It's Monday (happy, happy, joy, joy!)
We had friends down from Canada (eh!) this weekend.
Watched movies (Trainspotting, Falling Down, Matrix, Vanilla Skies), drank Canadian beer (they brought 4 cases with them), and ate sirloin steaks grilled in my own special marinade (read: fucking good!).
How was your weekend?

JC and I spent almost the entire weekend painting the house. The living room only has one wall to go at this point (it's sky blue), and we're halfway done painting the ledge around the room tangerine (We have walls that are recessed above the horizontal halfway point on the wall, creating a built in shelf all the way around). The kitchen still needs another coat of the blue above the cabinets. We're in the process of painting the cabinets butter yellow, and we'll be doing the same for all the window frames and doors, to bring out the blond wood of the floors. We painted one wall in the kitchen lilac, and the colour goes around the corner onto the front of the hallway, which is a dark plum. The doorframes in the hall are going to be lilac (we have one done) , and the bathroom, too (but the bathroom doorframe will be plum). We spray painted all the outlet/lightswitch covers and the ceiling mounted lights silver (they were white or gold), and the cabinet door handles, too. Yeah, we've been busy. Now that we have the cord for the digital camera I'll be adding pictures of our progress to my website. Sunday we spent almost the whole day at my parents, eating candy and pot roast, relaxing and socializing.

Heh...
Every wall in every room of my house is..... white. Every wall! 4200+ square feet of pristine white.
Boring? Perhaps.
Some day, I'm going to hang things on those white walls. Perhaps a picture, or a mirror. Perhaps a portrait of dogs playing poker at the last supper while Elvis sings in the background, all pinted on black velvet would be cool.
