80's fix, anyone?

I bought the Hell Freezes Over DVD after i first got a DTS decoder .... i was blown away by it, the first time i heard a concert sound so clear.....

If you get bored one day, there is a Robbie Williams Concert ... ' i know what you did last summer ' Its one of the best live dvd experiences i ever saw, just like being there.

Another one I can recommend (although it's old!) is the Stop Making Sense DVD (Talking Heads).

I had the video way back when... but it's still one of the best concerts I have ever seen recorded. No frills, but wow, was it good!

I have the CD (which is suppoded to be the soundtrack but actually is a studio album made to sound like it's live) but have never seen the movie. I've always wanted to... I guess this is the time to finally do it.

I did enjoy Depeche Mode 101... though the band isn't the only focus of the film.

In this week's ep., I liked The Knack and Tommy Tutone - very close call between 'em.

The audience overwhelmingly picked Vanilla Ice.

me too, i thought The Knack had it, theres no accounting for taste though .... maybe it has something to do with the fact that the studio audience looked like kids who brought their mothers with them ?

It was a far better show this week though, i'm even looking forward to next week now!

They did - The premise of the original show in the UK was to actually get the winner back into the mainstream, so it made sense to have the "target demographic" (who not coincidentally have the most disposable income - ahh to be free from responsibility!) do the voting...that being said, I agree that there is still no accounting for taste.

This ep was far better than last week's. I'm not sure who I will root for next week, but I am sure I will be outta sync with the kids.

Yeesh! My oldest is 4...I can't imagine what he and his siblings will be into when they are teenagers!

I saw Howard Jones a number of years ago. He played the Met here in Spokane and it was an acoustical evening (he played the grand piano and had a woman with him who was surrounded by percussion).

It was one of the best concerts I've been to. He interacted very well with the crowd, played flawlessly, and there were several standing ovations.

He'll be tough to beat.

It was good. Remember, we were afraid that everyone would think we were gay, sweaters and all.

That must have been the last time I wore a sweater. I think it might have been yours as I don't remember even owning any then or now.
