Time to get a passport

Post by bio » Wed Aug 25, 2004 11:29 am

I just got out of my wednesday morning meeting and there's a very real chance that I might have to fly out of the country... and off the continent soon.

We need someone to go to Australia to train our sister company in Sydney on how to implement and maintain one of our systems... and lucky me, I'm the only one in our group who knows anything about it.

So... I need to get another birth certificate from Idaho, then run down to the federal building and get the ball rolling on the passport.

I'm more than a little excited about this! :-)

Pity the fam cannot go with...or can they?

Of course, it's not a for sure thing, and there's no date attached, but just the thought excites the hell outa me!

The passport agency is in Seattle, I got mine in 10 days. That was just regular processing, not the extra fast processing too.

Try being born out of country at a secret military base that doesn't exist anymore (ok not so secret base) and needing to get a passport without a birthcert.

In order to get a copy of your BC and you are an American citizen born out of country you gotta talk to the state department, fill outta butt load of forms and then they have to go through the national archive or some warehouse somewhere in kansas. My BC could be sitting next to the freaking arc of the covenent!

So here I am still waiting for my BC just so I can go to Canada. Can I pass? Please.
