Sorry to keep dredging up this thread, but these damn people WILL NOT LEARN.
Another idiot decided to use the dancing spiderman as an avatar on his forum. Took me a while to figure it out as some of the links in my stats page were to a private section that required a password. So now I once again put the little willie picture in place of the original. But this time I renamed the original to "QuitLinkingToThisDumbass.gif". I wonder if they will get the hint this time? Probably not. The latest offender is from some German gamer forum. We'll see how long it takes for him to notice :)

Oh, and by the way, I LOVE the Babelfish page translation function. Helps a lot with things like this.

It seems I remember there being an html tag that would forbid search engines from logging a page, or indeed, its contents. I'll see if I can track it down. It should at least help in the future should you rename the file, and thus, remove its accessibility from Google image search.

You place a ROBOTS text file in the root of the directory (I forget what goes in it, but you can google that easily enough).

Unfortunately, if you block the directory, anything in that directory won't be indexed in the search engines. If the image in question is used on a page outside of that directory, it's fair game.

Hopefully just renaming the file should be good enough. You're not the only one who has that file Eddie. They should be able to find another source easily enough.
