:D LoL :D

I hope it isn't a long journey. All that coffee I had for breakfast this morning is currently looking for a new home and if I can't find a rest area soon this journey could get messy.

Since the OS I have been locating the various other necesary drivers in the most remote locations of the 'net. Win XP however, did a great job of nearly installing everything for me... I am fairly supprised that a Win product actually works this well. Once I get all the necessary drivers collected I am going to burn them to a disk in case I should ever need to play hide and seek for them again.

Okay next XP question for all of you. Which of numerous XP sites is any good? I am looking for various bits of information regarding all things XP i.e. Office, Media Player, Themes etc. So Kirtaner where you a part of the beta testing?

Kirtaner pulled it down from a news group.

Of course, he got a release canidate, so it had problems (much to everyone's glee).

I don't mess with the OS too much, so everything I pull down is from Microsoft itself (in theory the things I download shouldn't fuck Windows up to much this way... *giggle*).

Has your theory panned out? There is so much out there regarding XP I was just curious if any of it was and good. So far I have not gotten anything that has not come frmo MS, but I am curious about all the other feces out there.

Other than the initial issues I had with it (a week after I installed it, it ate itself... unrecoverable. turned out to be an issue with Roxio EZ CD Creator 5 Platnum) it's been running like a champ.

I burn with Nero now (it's a much better application anyway)

Well I have been going round-n-round with Dell trying to get them to give me a better version of my current burning software, and if there 'mail today does not impress me then I may be using Nero in the future. What do you recomend for DVD software?

Don't have a DVD in my PC (not because they're not nifty, but rather, because I have no use for one at the moment).

Sorry... can't help you out on that one. I'd say to ask Baldy, but he flew in from the UK yesterday and is knee deep in my sister's hot, hot lovin' at the moment.

Funky sister monkey love...

Okay, I'm thinking you should have picked a better phrase than "knee deep in my sister..."

As for a DVD player. I have Win DVD from InterVideo on my laptop and I like it. A lot of DVDs will force you to install their Inter Actual Player as well. I don't like the fact that it forces you to do it, but at the same time is a relatively decent player. You need it mostly to view special content on a DVD. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.

I too have WinDVD, but the version I have is not compatible with XP. So I am off to their site to check in upgrades... and I cannot do it because my version 2 is too old and I need to purchase their version 4 now. This damn XP is getting more and more eXPensive with each reinstallation I try to accomplish.

Well I got this system with the DVD because at that time I was solo in Korea (again) and it helped to pass the time and keep me out of the clubs. Here is what I have found on C|NET... http://www.cnet.com/software/0-3227895- ... n.sr1.ssr.
