How to make money disappear: An epic of tragic proportions
My wife and I went shopping yesterday. She assured me that we were "just looking" and "not buying".
Right.
After walking through God knows how many furniture stores, we stopped at Mor. All I have to say is "wow!". They had the coolest furniture I have ever seen... a kitchen and bedroom set with a 50's style venire finish that are a must have for my house.
We did purchase a little something... a beige leather love-seat, hide-a-bed couch, and corner piece (so it functions like a sectional) as well as two very cool tables (marble and glass) and a lamp (total price: $3,607.40).
We've never had new furniture (our house is filled with our old crap apartment furniture that was given to us from various different sources), so my wife is pretty jacked.
Film at 11.

No nakedness.... but several cows worth of leather:

Side view number uno from the side

The coffee table (marble overlay and it rotates... funky!)

Looking from the entryway..... so inviting!
The lamp that they attempted to deliver wasn't the right one (read: fucking ugly!) so they're getting the correct one as I type this. I should have it tonight.
On a side note, the last two seats on the right in the bottom picture recline flat. I spent the last 2 hours napping there (I didn't mean to fall asleep... but it's damn comfortable).

Damn your eyes for not including nudity, you dangle the carrot so many times and it's become expected!
As for the furniture, nice stuff, not crazy about the table but I like the monster couch thing. My buddy Paul had one of those long ago and the reclining end chairs were highly fought for. The backing wasn't individual pillows like your it was more a uniform couch back all the way around.

Looks around...
er, ah, where are all the computers? I didn't see a computer in the picture...?

Unfortunately, the new layout is non lan party friendly (but since very few people show up for those anyway, I guess it's a non-issue).
On the brighter side... I am moving my computer room up from the bottom floor to the top floor for easy access (because going down two flights of stairs is killing my gimp leg).

Yeah, I know I bailed on the last couple: I think I was out of town for the last one... they were fun, though. We have held a few for the kid at our house recently. Next one I will let you know, you come over, we love you long time!
Besides, I gotta show you what I did to my poor computer: http://www.hardforums.com/showthread.ph ... did=556169
Ta!
