With the spike in COVID cases (1.1 million in the past week), our states Governor has issued new mandates, effective yesterday
You can read them here
So, with that in mind, are you going to change your holiday plans?
Shits gotten real out there, and it's only going to get worse if people keep acting like everything is normal. Every time I see some asshat wearing a chin diaper (mask on but on low and not covering both the nose and mouth) or no mask at all, it really makes me angry.

We just had my daughter and my grandson over. We were going to host my wife's sister and her kids, but didn't. I think for the best. Not sure how serious her kids are taking this. She works at WalMart which alone scares me.
It was still good, lots of good food and gluttony to be had.

We ended up going to my eldest son and family's new home. My daughter-in-law's mother, two brothers and a couple of kids also attended (a total of 8 adults and 7 kids). The brother with the children had his family tested prior to the engagement. Sky didn't come.
Since their new home is kind of palatial, social distancing was pretty easy. I actually spent most of my time on the deck, watching Kayla's brother air fry a turkey (it was crazy delicious!).
We nearly cancelled for obvious reasons, but it was their first Thanksgiving in their new home and we really wanted to attend. We also decided that thanksgiving's going to be at their house from now on.
Christmas, on the other hand, will be a much smaller affair. We don't blend families for that.
