Apparently, Gooch was miffed that I didn't announce my birthday, so he and my youngest son put together a belated birthday party for me last night.
They came, the cooked, provided cake, and washed dishes when they were done. Fuck... we should do this every night!!
I didn't get photos of the scratch made alfredo sauce on penne pasta or the scratch pesto garlic bread, but I did get the cake, which was both amazingly tasty and beautiful (it was made by Gooch's wife's friend who's an outstanding baker!)

It was a wonderful night, and good times were had by all (except for Gooch's wife... she got all barfy after dinner, but that's another story).

Seriously, Gooch's friend makes a killer damn cake! From scratch, with scratch made filling and buttercream frosting. Daaaaaaaaaamn tasty!
