Attn Halo enthusiasts: Halo 3 beta spring 2007

Post by Deater » Mon Jan 15, 2007 8:57 pm

So there's a good chance for all of us to do some Halo 3 beta testing. Bungie is having this little "rule of three" contest to get Halo 3 beta into the hands of fans. This site will give the details. There are basically 3 ways to get your hands on the beta version. The first way was signing up at halo3.com sometime in December and being selected, which is now a long gone chance.

:starwars:

The second chance requires you to have Halo 2 and an Xbox live gold account (and an XBOX 360 of course). You have to play Halo 2 online for a total of 3 hours between 12 am Feb 1st and 11:59 pm Feb 3rd. That is EST so it would start at 9 pm on Jan 31st for those of us in PST. After playing your 3 hours, you have to go to Halo3.com and be one of the first 13,333 people to register for the beta version. I'm guessing that those 13,333 people will all have registered by 4 am PST; I hope I'm one of them.

:flame:

If that doesn't work, you'll have to go to the stores and purchase Crackdown for the XBOX 360 on Feb 20th and get a specially marked version that will come with a key allowing you to download Halo 3 beta in the spring when it is released.

:shoot:

Good luck guys, either way I'm sure you'll be joining me to finish the fight in October/November when the game is officially released.

Bio, are you just trying to test me to see if I'll correct you for saying Master Sargeant instead of Master Chief? Because if he makes you moist in your special places you should know his name is Master Chief. Yo mommas so fat she fell into Halo and got stuck! Ya so, I never claimed I wasn't a nerd.

:worship: Hail Master Chief, he shall save Earth from the Covanent, the Flood, and the Sentinals. He is "The One," just like Neo.

P.S. That is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were taken out.

You cannot expect someone to scroll down to the *gasp* dreaded second page. (Or remember what happened a week ago... or what they had for breakfast...)

Although making a big deal about people posting the same shit is fun, much like your birthday after 30 and making a total of 2000 posts, some things aren't that damn big a deal.

No, my WTF was not regarding the repost, but rather Bio apparent change of heart from old codger poo-pooing today's console-centric youth to apparent psycho-sexual Halo fetishist.

However, now that I see Deater has corrected Bio, I can only assume this was Bio copping an air of knowing, all the while still more or less taking the piss that popular culture doesn't check with him before advancing in directions of its own choosing.

I am guilty as charged.

Actually, I will have you know that I actually played in the kids xbox last weekend. It was nothing more than Project Gotham Racing and a little Amped (both of which were purchased when the xbox was launched all those years ago).

The only thing that ticks me off is the XBOX exclusive games... I mean it is a dumbed down computer. If a game will work on it, it WILL work with a PC.

For only $2000, you can be knife proof, small arms proof, hell.... even bear proof! (Looking like a complete dweeb comes at no additional charge)

That suit is pretty kewl. I can't imagine a reason that I would need it though.

I'm surprised they didn't say anything in that article that about how much it looks like the Spartan suit in Halo, because it looks very similar.

Sorry to repost on a subject BTW, I just wanted to know that you were all aware of the new "rule of three" contest.
