Full-On Star Wars Geek Mode Engaged...

Post by miftah » Mon Sep 04, 2006 3:20 pm

So this has hit the web.

Now my disinterest in video games has a long history. Only recently have they gotten to a point where they can keep my interest long enough to spend more than an hour with them. Usually there's a variety of functions that once you've seen them, just repeat endlessly through a series of obstacles. Which I have always found boring. I have a stack of games that lasted no longer than an hour.

Only recently have the functions gotten intresting enough to continue through them. For instance, playing as the Emporer in Battlefront II. But this changes quite a lot. This much interaction with the environment. With these kind of powers... Unbridled ass kicking. Wow.

Pretty wicked cool by any standard.
Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

WOW!!!

I loves me some Star Wars Jedi games. I'll be waiting for that one.
Just picked up Battlefront II for XBox in the $20 bin. Along with a couple others. Gonna start playing that pretty soon here.

I'm not much into the Star Wars game gig, but that is chock full of eye candy (and violence... both of which are very cool).

Me... I'm waiting for my copy of Battlefield 2142 to show up. I pre-ordered 4 of them (for me and all the damn kids).

I would say "me too" but I seriously spent a lot of time more or less being one of Bio's kids and it was pretty good. I got taken to school every day (work at Spectrum) and he fed me too (literally occasionally and regularly my cigarette habit after I "quit").

This is, of course, why I love him. That and getting his leftover computer parts and patient tech support at a premium. Sucker.

As addicting as BF 1942 was, I fear being around a computer when BF 2142 is on the screen.
