I'm baaaaaack
I've returned from my whirl-wind tour of central Washington.
Did you miss me?
We went to Yakima, WA on Friday, spent the weekend, and came back on monday. Oh joy!
Mental note to self: never, EVER, move to that two mule, olive pit of a town. Seriously.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I've always heard it described. The only redeeming factor apparently is that there are a couple of vinyards in the area that produce some not-quite-great/not-quite-awful wines. Of course, being a beer man, this probably isn't a factor for you.

Yeah... dreamhost is still being a bitch... a little slow, issues with database connectivity, etc. Sorry about that... but I'm willing to put up with a lot of crap if I don't have to deal with those Brazilian smacktards any more.
Of course, Woody has been shut down, wiped, and is in the process of getting Windows installed on it.. if the fucking thing wouldn't BSOD every time I try to install it.... linux has no issues at all going on. I'm assuming that Windows doesn't like the 3ware 9500s driver.
As for Yakima... yeah, they make a lot of wine there. I do enjoy a nice glass of Merlot from time to time, but I'm totally a beer kind of guy. They do, however, grow a butt-load of hopps there. Fields as far as the eye can see. Most of them to to Budweiser (which IS NOT BEER!).

Most soccer fans agree.
The Germans call it Spülwasser, which roughly translates as dishwater, according to The Nation.

Heh... classic!
As for Budweiser not being able to sell their beer under the name, there's a reason for that.
Theres a brewery in the Czech Republic (Budějovický Budvar) that produces a beer called Budweiser Budvar. Of course, they've been making it since 1265, so I'm pretty damn sure they came first. Their slogan is "The beer of Kings", as they were the royal brewery.
Anheiser-Busch started making their beer calld "Budweiser" in 1876 and state that their beer is the "King of beers".
I call them dirty theiving bastards for ripping off the name and slogan of another brewery. I also don't drink beer made with rice, as it's flavorless ick.
According to Germany's Beer Purity Laws, beer may only contain the folling ingredients: Barley, Hops, yeast and Water

I wonder what character set got "Spülwasser" from "Spülwasser"?miftah wrote:Most soccer fans agree.

Well, being on a mac, I never know if its just me. So I left it in its original form, just in case it would look right on a winbox.
For instance, does my typing Spülwasser work? If so, then the MS-vs.-Mac character set issues have finally been resolved. And I may correct stylish punctuation at will.
As for the beer, I could always technically drink Budweiser, but would never choose to actually do so. If I had to drink a cheap domestic, I usually drank Miller. Something in its flavour was just more beerlike.
But Coors on the other hand, would make me ill on contact. Seriously, I'll have a headache before I finish the bottle.

I see it correctly. If you typed in capital S, little p, umlaute u, little l, and the rest as wasser. Which in all my German language schooling is the right spelling.miftah wrote:For instance, does my typing Spülwasser work? If so, then the MS-vs.-Mac character set issues have finally been resolved.
