First off, nothing is wrong with the snakes' mouths - but they can "dislocate" their jaws to swallow food thicker than their head.
Looking at the pic of Painted, I figure she is between 5' and 5'2" and her hands do not look disproportionate to the rest of her, so I am betting that the snakes are no thicker than 3/4" at the thickest and the heads are pry 1/2" to 5/8" at their widest. They could pry take on juvenile mice as well as pinkies and even take adults, but they'd have to get a good strike so as not to get bit by the mouse in question. Full grown versions can grow to 33" in length and can easily sort out a mouse.
This in no way supersedes RocketDork's advice to consult the pet store and get a book.
There are good resources on the web for rubber boas as well (try www.rubberboas.com for starters)...and it turns out they are WA natives!

Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

We have a few fields around my house and mice can be a problem. I have those ultrasound devices in my garage and my travel trailer.
*DO NOT ATTEMPT* While weed wacking around the foundation of the house I found a mouse. Instead of stomping it (why do I squish everything?) I used the weed-wacker. Bad idea. I cut off its tail and scalped it rear end. I felt so bad I knew I had to finnish it. I went for the rest of it and all of a sudden mouse junk went flying everywhere

Another time the dogs chased one into the basement window well. I knew that if I didn't kill it it might get into the house. I ran and grabbed a broom. The darn broom wouldn't fit into the window well, so what did I do? I turned it over and bludgeoned it to death with the handle end, just like a bad jailhouse movie.

I am going to hell when I die.

Don't get to much bigger or the snakes won't eat them and I will have to come over with my yard equipment.
I am guessing here but make sure thier cage is very warm, like with a heat lamp. Being that they are cold blooded they may need the heat to get stimulated.
