If he made it clear that he was with a friend then I think he has more than friend feelings about you, cause it means he could want you to know he isn't seeing anyone else.

I agree with Painted and Miftah. I think he is also playing it cool too. Both of you must have the same feelings going on inside. Give it some time and then one of you will have to break the tension or it may stall into just freinds after to long.
