I have always thought a tattoo would be cool...but I could never get one because it is too permanent...and I am sure I wouldn't want one later.

Well I have to say like some of you, the black and white pic is sexy. Now my initial reaction to the first 2 was WTF? But now I'm starting to like it. And I'm sure it will look better once the redness from the initial piercing goes away. And I'm a big fan of the belly button piercing.

As for the lower back tats, I like 'em... a lot. Now of course when you get to be 60 they aren't going to look so good. But like it or not, you're not going to have the body at 60 that you have at 25-30. I don't care what BoFlex or any of the other exercise/medical commercials say. So why not enjoy it while you are young. I don't see a lot of 60 year old ladies wearing the low cut jeans showing off a midriff or lower back anyway.

So while I don't totally understand the piercings shown, I'm not totally against them. How's that for non-commital? :)

I have 4 tattoos (including one on my lower back), ear, belly button and nipple piercings. I plan on getting another tattoo and will probably at some point have more piercings in my ears.

Now, I agree with the statement that when I'm 60, the tats won't look quite as good as they do now; however - I don't live my life based on how things will be 30 years from now. Sure, there will be consequences, but I feel it's an acceptable risk.
All of my tattoos have a meaning to me, they're not just random blobs of ink. I feel that people who get tattoos simply because they're rebelling or because their friend talked them into it are the ones that regret it. Tattoos that are thougt out, and done with meaning - that's a different story. They might not always look the same, but they'll always have the meaning.
