I saw a guy in a teriyaki restaurant the other day with a rip in his jeans mended with duct tape.

Whammo used to make a space ray gun in the early 70's that did the same thing. Only difference was that it had a trigger and a neat-o space age look. They may have made a reproduction of it a few years ago when they started making a lot of the classics. Look for one on E-bay to see what I mean.
