Horrific Crash on I-5

Horrific, until this:

Witnesses of the crash raced up to the two burning cars and pulled the woman and two men outside of their respective cars. Others used a crowbar to pry open the back of the SUV and free two little girls that were trapped inside.

However, they were not able to get the others inside the SUV free. But they were concerned that the SUV was perilously close to the other burning cars, so the driver of a nearby semi truck was able to hook up a tow strap and drag the SUV away from the flames.

and some measure of faith in human nature, is again restored. The part about the semi truck driver really made me feel good. Quick thinking, not prompted by the authorities, but by compassion. With a sense of urgency, not complacentcy.

The story here, is how many lives were -saved- today.
