I agree. If you're not 100% technically fluent in all things hardware, its a nightmare waiting to happen. I think there's a synergy with hardware generations that's best to maintain, since some bottlenecks (disk i/o, memory speed, etc) can prevent other upgrades from doing you any good. I also think...

That's 'Flight of the Conchords', or 'New Zealand's fourth most popular folk parody duo'. They just finished their first season on HBO. Episodes were hit and miss, but overall I liked them a lot. In the Tenacious D vein.

I didn't get tattoos for other people, I got them for me. Some people have commented that they don't "go together" and they're right - they don't :D Exactly! Short of the few on this forum, I don't talk about them at work. They're for me, not for 'work' to know about. A personal thing, th...

Very interesting. The first thing that struck me was the old color photos. Such a monumental transition. Obvious, yes... but seeing the difference in what's conveyed is neat.

My Chumbawumba sleeve is already outdated? Forum member already gone down this road? I knew I should have gone more obscure.

I still hear a lot of anti-tattoo people spouting the typical "that won't look good when your 60" though. Yes, that was everyone's favorite first comment. I think content plays a big part here... the 'Juicy!' above-butt tat or 'I heart Chumbawumba' arm band tat won't be so hot 30 y...

Fine, I regurgitate mentalfloss. :)

But I liked one of their links, both because of content and page layout. Unique page construction is difficult to find (although the nav took a little getting used to...).

Um, well, gag... thanks! ;) On a barely related note, my neighbor once had a tick on her neck. Her husband inspected the odd bump, and didn't get it. She kept it dry during showers, had her hairdresser cut around it so as not to disturb it, and otherwise coddled it. Many weeks later it fell off, pro...

Oh... and if you want Christianity taught... then you need to also teach Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and every other major religion... with no preference granted to any one. Yes, this would be a requirement. I took a slight detour, I totally agree it should be displayed as stories. My point was peop...

"... have to teach that there were such things as talking snakes or lose their job," Bitterman said." Such an ugly issue, full of knee-jerk reactions. Not being a talking snakes believer myself, I still hold that religion should be taught in school, but in a historical context. IE: Wh...

Back in my chef days our pastry chef, all 6'8" 350 lbs of him... drank the espresso that was supposed to go in to a batch of creme brulee. 8 triple shots, in two gulps. I seriously thought he was going to the hospital. His eyes got crazed, he was shaking, and then he went home. I was sure it wa...
