Online Gallery Software

Post by mudflap » Sun Mar 01, 2009 11:06 pm

I've tried...

- Imagevue
- ZenPhoto
- Gallery

My requirements are...

- FTP Upload Capability
- Ability to manually arrange photos within an album
- Customizable themes (but easy for a lazy bastard like me)
- Automatically created thumbnails
- Easily navagatible for non-technical family members
- Some other things that I want but can't think of but likely won't be in whatever you recommend therefore rendering it usesless.

Recommendations?

Um... hmmm....

I don't use any gallery software so I'm not in the know. But I am willing to go digging around to see what I can find to meet your requirements :-)

Photoshop has scripts built into it that will generate them automatically. I've used them. They're not necessarily pretty, but they do bang out a photogallery quickly and with a surprising large number of options for design and functionality.

If you go here, you can see a variety of them, the features of each, etc.

Hope that helps :-)
