I first watched it on VHS when I was about the same age as the kid. It fucked my head up a bit and I still think of this movie even though I have only seen it 2 or 3 times ever. Last time probably 10 years ago so Jeanine could watch it. It wasn't as frightening that time but more omg that movie has a whole other message about 1980s consumerism and I was probably subconsciously having my opinion confirmed about that era.
