Why Prudential sucks much ass
I got my monthly check from my disability insurance company and discovered that it's a little short of what it has been (and when I say a little, I'm being stupidly conservative).
After calling them to say "WTF?!?", they informed me that the buy up I paid extra for was only good for the first 12 months.
*grumble*
So... I guess it's time to tighten the belt, eat plenty of top ramen, and shake my fist in anger at God.
Oh... and I did place a call to HR at work (I left a voicemail). I asked if this new little nugget of bullshit was correct, or if those bastards are just trying to pull a fast one. Hopefully I'll hear later.

Just in case anyone gives a rat's ass.... those fuckers fixed it. My case worker couldn't explain why it happened, but I'm supposed to get my missing funds in the next day or so.

I'm just glad to hear they fixed it. Doesn't seem like such a tough thing, it's like they've never handeled disability cases before. Sheesh.

Its more like they *have* handled disability cases before and they are deliberately trying to beat you down to the point where you don't argue with them anymore...then they keep the money.

I'll sic Harry on em.
In like....a year.
Maybe. If they're really ticklish.

Glad it worked out - be curious if that was in fact a pattern amongst disability cases.
Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing ever happened.

Re: Why Prudential sucks much ass
My experience is that they'll try to get away with anything and everything they can to save a buck.
In my opinion, they've forgotten that I'm a customer, and that I just want the service I paid for. It feels like they look at me like a leech/liability.
I would give anything to go back to work, but that's not looking like it's going to happen any time soon... so I have to watch these people like a hawk.
